The development plan was presented to the council on the 14th of November 2001 and then published for twenty days in the province’s major daily newspapers and regional government gazette on the 3rd of January 2002 and 29th of November 2001, respectively.

The Local Planning Authorities viewed the project and formally decided to suspend the application until certain adjustments were made and also informed the Council regarding this decision.

In order to meet the terms of the decision, Vicens Ash made changes to the project, which were provisionally approved, in the first instance, by the Planes Town Council on the 18th of November 2004, whilst also being tacitly endorsed by the following departments:

1.-Environment Department; Environmental Impact statement dated July 4th 2002 declaring it acceptable

2.-Road Planning division of the Transport and Infrastructure Department stated that it was in favour - November 24th 2004.

3.-Education and Culture Department in favour – November 12th 2002

4.-Water Company (Sociedad Española de Abastecimientos, S.A de Agua Potable) in favour – November 8th

5.-The Health Department has not issued a statement to date, despite being asked on October 7th 2002. The time period for doing so has now lapsed.

6.-Central Government Agency in Alicante (Roads and Town Planning division) – in favour

7.-Water Resources division of the Town Planning and Transport Department has not issued a statement to date (May 7th, 2005), despite being asked on October 4th 2002. The time period for doing so has now lapsed

The Joya de Planes Residential Project was ultimately approved by the national territorial planning commission on March 9th 2005 and published in the provincial gazette on the 7th of May 2005

Approval of the infrastructure Project

1.-The Valencia autonomous government official gazette published the Planes de Beronia Town Council proclamation that made public the building infrastructure project for La Joya de Planes as part of an integrated development. Outlining the estimated budget of €8,200,000 for the construction and access roads.
2.- The Project is approved collectively by the Chamber on January 13th, 2006

Approval of project of demarcation of plot

1.-March 22nd, 2006. The Voluntary project of demarcation of plots is made public and remains since April 7th, 2006
2.-The Valencia autonomous government official gazette publishes the project on May 9th, 2006
3.-Definitive approval of the Project of Demarcation of plots was published in the province’s official gazette (Number 173) on July 29th, 2006

Currently * having all the related documentation in order to commence works, at this stage the corresponding bank guarantees for the amount of 600.000.€ were lodge with the town hall of Planes de Baronia.
Authorization to commence work has consequently been granted.

A period of 14 months has been set for the completion of the infrastructure project. Accordingly, by November 2008 we should have the infrastructure finished
